Thanks to you I use my driver way more now. All the times I’ve had weird little complaints about my impacts, it’s cause I was using then wrong. Never stop learning right!
The only thing an impact does better, is it weighs less, and is smaller for tight spaces. That means a lot when you are on the job and walk miles around a job site everyday, or do repetitive fastener work all day and have to carry everything on your person to be efficient. But you are right, a quality drill is superior in proformence. It’s just not as efficient or ergonomic as an impact.
Referring to the impact as the "superior tool" is insane in my opinion, your drill is almost always capable of doing the job of an impact and much more
You are actually I believe you are not in construction or have never been. An impact is superior because of its size and weight. As an electrician in new construction, you will need both. You will be less efficient with a drill than an impact. The weight and length of the drill will affect you in a negative way all day.
I work as a destruction worker I’m a welder I will tell you we have barely ever use drill set for putting up drywall we use our impact more than anything else cuz it’s a hella quicker I’m a welder I use grinders and impact all day all day stop telling people what tools they supposed to be using cuz you don’t know what you really talking about I’m really tired of people you do not work in the instruction field think they know what they’re talking about but you pretty much talking really stupid annoy about it
Been using a drill since I was a kid. Have knocked myself over the head really bad and busted my lip before. But never a broken wrist. Imo impact drivers should be used for mechanics or large large bolts
A drill is versatile but a drill is also significantly heavier than an impact or a Driver. I can use a drill to take out fasteners but when I’m taking 100s of fasteners out, an impact works best. When I’m putting fasteners back in, a driver works best. When I need to drill things or mix sealant or do the wird twirly thing you did earlier, a drill is the best. Best tools for the job for the situation.
I completely agree with you. Ive never understood why people will use impacts over drills to drive screws. Now lag bolts i understand, but drills are way faster for screws
The only thing I use my drill for is holes, I much prefer my Impact on everything else. If it didn’t have multiple settings and modes I would probably reach for the drill more. Japan only mikita TD173D. I burned through 3 Milwaukee Impacts before getting it and have used it all day 5 days a week for the last two years with no issues. I use Milwaukee drills though for the extra tourqe.
Impacts are just easier to use in most applications. In commercial HVAC we only use our drills for actually drilling holes into concrete for anchors etc.
Hmm, So the other day I got paid and only had enough money for a penci or a ladder. I said fuck it, one is better than the other anyway and I’ll just buy one and use it for both purposes these things are used for.
I used to think this way until i got into the construction business. My second week as a carpenter using a drill i got a arm inflammation that lasted three months. Used a hammer drill ever since. Only use my drill for drilling holes for electrical and what not. Using the the clutch simply wont do if you are building houses.
For cabinet making, an impact is going to be used to fasten screws 90% of the time, But sometimes there’s the occasional real long screws etc, that’s when we swap over to the drill. The impact will take way too long and sometimes just stall.
You can chanfer holes
You can tap a hole,
You can thread a round bar by clamping a threading die in a vise and spinning the bar with the drill
You can use one of those steel wire brush to clean tight spots on rusty steel or to remove flux after a weld
You can even put a stick on your drill, hold the trigger with a zip tie and cook sausages over a campfire in your yard
A drill is just so much more versatile than an impact driver
I feel like he is rite that a drill will run stuff in faster through wood and that it’s more efficient. The thing is, if your a DIY guy or girl, and you don’t have the money for both then the impact will do everything whereas the drill will not. That means less money spent, and let’s be honest, the impact driver doesn’t take all day to do any of this stuff anyway. It’s just not quite as fast.
Both tools work. And both tools can do the job just fine.
The impact driver is still better and superior…
Cada uno usa sus herramientas como se le cante la gana, por eso es SU HERRAMIENTA, pero a la gente le encanta discutir por idioteces.
Thanks to you I use my driver way more now. All the times I’ve had weird little complaints about my impacts, it’s cause I was using then wrong. Never stop learning right!
i have and use bought drill is for construction work and impact driver is for mechanic work

Why are they making impact rated drill bits and masonry bits now? Also t of people are moving to the impact only setup
hello sir what brand of chuck quick release attachment did you use?
Referring to the impact as the "superior tool" is insane in my opinion, your drill is almost always capable of doing the job of an impact and much more
If you don’t know your doing actually is the time to buy the tool. That way you learn to use the tool and get good with it.

Nah i paid for my impact driver ill use it

Thanks for the tip

Just got me that same Milwaukee hammer drill!! I absolutely love it! And yes, I’ll use the clutch for everything
Will it undo my heavy truck 500 lb torqued wheel lug nuts
I completely agree with you. Ive never understood why people will use impacts over drills to drive screws. Now lag bolts i understand, but drills are way faster for screws
Two questions. 1) what is the black attachment at front is called and 2) how to use the clutch (is it a setting)?
Bro is talking down to me but can’t edit cuts out of his video and has to record himself stopping the shot each time
But you forgot to tell him the drill weighs three times the amount😂
Or if you buy tools use them how you want 🎉
That Milwaukee has auto stop for the wrist breaking thing

Whats that quick release from I need it
Thanks – I’ve been debating grey – red – or yellow
it’s easy one handed use vs two hands, i still prefer the impact
Our power tools weren’t created for us they were for industries such as nasa, aerospace and engineering so technically we don’t know how to use them
Never knew you could use a drill as a drill-driver😂
I need to fit into very small places as an HVAC technician with my impact so for me it is far superior
I’m sure you have a video about it, but do you like the flex or the Milwaukee drill?
Clutch will not give you the impact of the driver
Maybe not the superior tool but your missing the key feature
Impact go Ugga Dugga
Quick release, light weight and small size all factors why most of us use an impact
It’s not that I’m not using it right unintentionally , it’s that I’m lazy and I just deal with the consequences
The problem isn’t the tool folks, it’s your weak wrists and hands

totally agree. can i have ur impact driver thanks

You remind me of the host of double dare ?

I agree with you 💯
Great video
You wouldn’t know that you don’t know how to use it though.
Proponent for drills tries to convince people to buy drills. Proceeds to tell people who "don’t know how to use them" not to buy them……
